The
Fed Challenge, a national competition for high school economics students, requires
them to analyze the current state of the economy, provide a near term forecast,
and suggest a course for interest rates. This year's team reached the semi-finals
in the Federal Reserve Bank of New York regional economics competition, which
placed them in the top 24 of the 107 schools from the New York metropolitan area
that competed.
