Similar
to the past four years, volunteer students, parents, and advisors of the various
THS competitive academic teams/groups will join in helping make Trumbull's annual
Summer Concert a success. ACE Foundation volunteers are responsible for selling
concert-day lawn seating tickets and orderly parking and bus loading for concert
goers who take busses from Trumbull High to Indian Ledge for the annual family
event.
This year's Summer Concert
will be opened by Marc Von Em, a singer/songwriter who's been part of the Rob
Thomas Band, at 6:30 p.m. He will be followed by 90-minute performances by featured
groups REO Speedwagon and Styx beginning at 7:00 p.m. All general admission patrons
will park at Trumbull High, where they will be assisted by ACE volunteers. This
event will build upon the successes of the past four years, when Trumbull hosted
the internationally-renowned groups, The Beach Boys (2004), Creedence Clearwater
Revisited/Gary Puckett and the Union Gap (2005), Chicago (2006), and Kool &
the Gang/KC & the Sunshine Band (2007).
Volunteers
who are interested in participating in this year's event are asked to call Foundation
President Dr. Gary Cialfi at 452-4348 or e-mail the foundation at towncalendar@sbcglobal.net.

and $35 for lawn seating. There's a $5 charge for using credit cards.
Nearly 200 participants of THS competitive academic teams/groups,
parents, and advisors joined together on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 to attend the 4th
Annual Celebration Banquet sponsored by the Trumbull ACE Foundation.
This
festive evening celebrated the many activities and accomplishments of Trumbull
High's many excellent academic teams/groups for which the Trumbull ACE Foundation
provides support during the course of the school year.
